The accident happened Friday about two miles south of Greenville when a 2003 Chevy SUV collided with a 1984 Kenworth truck, said Lance Cpl. Tony Keller, of the Highway Patrol.
Coroner: Man dies after swerving to avoid car
According to the coroner, Paul Allen Livingston, 42, of Simpsonville, was traveling south on Augusta Road when the traffic light turned red. He swerved to avoid a vehicle and crossed the median and collided with a tanker truck traveling north.

It appears that Livingston was swerving to avoid hitting another vehicle, but then lost control of his SUV and crashed into the truck. The man died after being transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
