An accident has claimed the life of a young man who recently graduated from William Monroe High School in Greene County.

Authorities said the driver of the moped was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and the driver of the truck, Keaton Strickland, was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured.
Coroner identifies moped driver fatally injured in SC 22 crash
The Horry County Coroner's office said the crash happened about 9 p.m. According to the SCHP, a moped was driving on the westbound side of 22 in front of a truck, and somehow the two collided.
Craig Jeffers was riding a moped on Highway 22 in Myrtle Beach when another vehicle struck him from behind. He was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries. He was a recent graduate of William Monroe High School in Greene County.
