“Jim was the kind of guy who brought a lot of different people together because they all wanted to be around him,” said Jason Pagel, Youth Minister at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. “There is a lot of numbness and hurt.”

Centennial High athlete killed in accident

"The initial investigation determined that there was a driver and three other occupants in the vehicle when it crashed. The name of the driver is being withheld because he is a juvenile. The deceased has been identified as James Edward Cheek Jr. 18 years of age from Franklin, TN.," the news release states.
