Driver killed after crashing into tree in Clarksville

A car left the road and crashed into a tree on the 1400 block of Paradise Hill Road around 10:30 p.m. The driver, 22-year-old Charles Dewayne Merriweather Jr. died at the scene. Police said the investigation into what led up to the wreck is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Investigator Bill Van Beber III at 931-648-0656, ext. 5486.
