Charlie Galindo charged after striking police motorcycle following pursuit on I-40 in Nashville, Tennessee

Driver charged after striking Nashville police motorcycle
Police say the officer parked his bike in front of the Charger, got off, approached the driver’s door of the Charger and ordered Galindo to get out.
Galindo, with the door open, appeared to be complying when he suddenly veered the Charger into the motorcycle and took off, causing the officer to jump out of the way. The officer, police say, was not hurt.
Galindo struck another vehicle as he fled, got back onto I-40 and sped eastbound.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
