One killed in I-15 crash in Draper; northbound I-15 closed
Five vehicles, including a box truck and a full-sized RV, crashed just after 1 p.m. The accident happened near 12300 South. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said a car traveling just north of 12300 South spun out in front of the box truck. The truck driver tried to avoid hitting the car, causing his truck to slide sideways, Royce said.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce confirmed the crashes occurred about 12:45 p.m. in the area of 11400 South and 12300 South on northbound I-15.

“When the motor home impacted the box truck, it was on the driver’s side right on the driver’s door – that killed the driver of the box truck,” Royce said.

A large box truck appeared to have been avoiding a car that had lost control, Royce said, when it went sideways on the freeway. An RV then crashed into the driver-side door of the truck, Royce said, killing Lantis, the truck's driver.
