Anthony Rodriguez, 35, in critical condition at a hospital, after being struck by a car at an intersection in Taylorville, while trying to help people involved in an earlier accident.
Taylorsville man still ‘extremely critical’ after being hit on Redwood Road.
A 35-year-old Taylorsville man remained in "extremely critical condition" on Wednesday, the day after he was hit by a car while trying to help people involved in an earlier crash.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said there had been no change in condition for Anthony Rodriguez, who was hit at 7:38 a.m. Tuesday while walking in the southbound lanes near 5225 South.
Rodriguez, who lives nearby, had just called 911 after witnessing a two-car collision in the intersection at Redwood Road and 5200 South.
He was checking on the drivers and passengers, who turned out not to have been injured. Hoyal said the car that hit him had the green light and its 21-year-old male driver didn’t see Rodriguez in time to avoid striking him.
Rodriguez was rushed to Intermountain Medical Center.
