Man in critical condition after car collides with motorcycle in Taylorsville
The man was traveling west on 5400 South when a car turning left struck his motorcycle near 1300 West, said Unified police Lt. Lex Bell. He was transported to a nearby hospital in "really bad shape" about 3 p.m., Bell said.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
