A multi-vehicle accident slowed eastbound traffic on Interstate 64 at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Friday afternoon.
According to Virginia State Police, the accident happened inside the tunnel. Troopers were on the scene of the crash, attempting to clear the incident.
As of 3:30 p.m., a Virginia State Police spokesperson said eastbound traffic was backed up from the HRBT past Mercury Boulevard.
