2 killed, 4 seriously hurt in deadly Hanover crash
Investigators determined that a 2001 4-door Dodge Ram pick-up truck was traveling east on Cold Harbor Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree. As a result of this crash, two passengers, Dylan Ballard, 17, and Elliott Hinton, 22, both from Mechanicsville, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police tell us that Ballard was a senior at Lee-Davis High School.
The driver and three additional passengers were seriously injured and transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment.

Ballard was a senior at Lee-Davis High and played defensive end for the varsity football team. Hinton, known to his friends as “E,” was a 2011 graduate. He would have turned 23 on Thursday.

Fleming is not being charged with DUI.
Involuntary manslaughter carries a sentence of one to ten years on each count. Fleming is 18-years-old.
