Man and 2-year-old boy killed after car strikes delivery truck in Virginia
An investigation showed a 32-year-old man from Gainesville was traveling north on Lee Highway in a 1999 Honda Accord with a 2-year-old boy in the car’s back seat when the car struck the rear of a Kenworth delivery truck stopped at the intersection, the statement said.

The department said in a news release that the crash occurred Monday morning near Lee Hwy and Heathcote Boulevard in Gainesville. Officers say 32-year-old Daniel Velasco of Gainesville was driving a Honda Accord on Lee Highway.
Police say the car struck the rear of a delivery truck, which was stopped at the intersection. Velasco and his 2-year-old son Ronin were pronounced dead at the scene.
