King County Medical Examiner’s Office identifies victim in fatal Burien crash
The victim of Friday’s (Nov. 21) tragic, fatal crash on Ambaum and SW 154th Street in Burien has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office as Peter Vandervelde, 51.
A driver suspected to be under the influence of alcohol crashed into another car in Burien Friday evening on Ambaum Boulevard Southwest. The innocent driver, in a Honda Civic, was killed and his vehicle was pushed into a building that hosts "A New Beginning," a 12 step alcohol recovery program. The at-fault driver, in a Volkswagen Jetta, was transported to a local hospital. The crash damaged the building, which was built in the 1930s. Check back for more information as it becomes available.
