Elderly woman hit, killed by Metro bus; driver relieved of duty as probe continues
Police have not released the name of the woman who died after being hit and dragged under a King County Metro bus Thursday afternoon. It’s believed she was in her 90s.
The bus was turning out of the Northgate Transit Center at about 3 p.m. when it hit the woman in a crosswalk on NE 100th Street.

A King County Metro Transit driver who struck and killed an elderly woman at the Northgate Transit Center on Thursday has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of post-crash alcohol and drug testing.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as 94-year-old Jacqueline Morrison.
Police traffic collision investigators were reviewing what happened. Seattle police say they tested the bus driver and found no obvious signs of impairment.
