Wrong-way driver dies in crash on Hwy. 522, west of I-405
All lanes are blocked and there’s no access to Bothell from Woodinville, according to a tweet from Trooper Chris Webb.

The State Patrol is not yet sure of the circumstances that led to the crash, but as of Friday morning the agency does not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
A woman was killed in a wrong-way car collision near Woodinville Friday morning. Around 5:53 a.m. a vehicle traveling east in the westbound lanes of Highway 522 crashed another car head-on. The wrong-way driver was deceased at the crash site, and the other driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. All westbound lanes of Highway 522, just west of Interstate 405 were closed after the crash which happened at approximately 6 a.m.
