Jail records indicated Twinn was being held on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
Marisa M. Twinn was driving north in a 1994 Honda Accord when her car left the road and rolled shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday on State Route 223, about 2 miles south of Granger. A passenger, Sondra B. Ashlock, of Toppenish, was taken to Toppenish Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Twinn, Delfino Serrato, 19, of Yakima, and an unidentified 16-year-old girl were taken to the hospital. Twinn was later booked at the Yakima County jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide. Her bail was set at $750,000 during a preliminary hearing in Yakima County Superior Court on Monday after she allegedly registered a 0.15 blood-alcohol level on a portable breath test administered after the incident. The legal limit for blood-alcohol content is 0.08 for age 21 or older, but those 20 and under are allowed only 0.02.
