SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says two people have been killed in separate crashes involving up to 10 vehicles on Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass. Trooper Chris Webb says two semi-trucks may have been involved in the accidents Friday morning. The westbound lanes were expected to be closed for several hours.

SEATTLE – The driver of a semi-truck has been arrested on investigation of vehicular homicide after a multi-vehicle crash that killed two people near Snoqualmie Summit Friday, the Washington State Patrol said. It happened just before 7 a.m. near Milepost 54. Westbound Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass is expected to remain closed for several hours. No other details about why the driver was arrested were immediately released. The driver who was arrested was towing a car hauler.

Semi-truck driver arrested for vehicular homicide for deadly I-90 crash

A driver involved in the crash that killed two people on westbound I-90 Friday morning was arrested for vehicular homicide. Washington State Trooper Chris Webb reports the driver was operating a semi-truck hauling cars when the crash occurred west of the Snoqualmie Pass summit. Westbound I-90 will be closed "all day," according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Webb says there were a total of two semi-trucks involved in the crash. A total of 10 vehicles were involved in the crash.

State Patrol: 2 Ronald residents killed in Snoqualmie Pass crash with semi; suspect from Zillah

The semi driver accused of causing the crash has been identified as Daryel Rueda, a 24-year-old Zillah man. He was booked in to the King County jail on suspicion of two counts of vehicular homicide.
