15-Year-Old Teen Was Driving Car At Time of Fatal Crash in Walla Walla

Deputies say Athena Bentley, 15, was driving the car at the time of the accident. She did not have a license and was not wearing a seatbelt. Uziel Bermoy, 16, was in the front passenger seat and was wearing a seatbelt. Aidan Boede, 17, was in the right rear passenger seat and not wearing a seatbelt. All three teens were killed while driving along Mill Creek Road when their car went off the road and rolled.

Three Walla Walla High School students are dead after a single-car crash. The accident happened early Sunday morning on Mill Creek Road. Police believe speed played a part in the crash. 15-year old Athena Bentley, 16-year old Uziel Bermoy, and 17-year old Aidan Boede all died at the site. The car was heading down Mill Creek Road when the driver lost control and ended up in the field across the street, about 50 yards down the road. Police know speed was a key factor in the crash. The speed limit changed from 50 to 40 mph on Mill Creek Road.
