Fiery Fatal Crash on I-79 Near Westover Under Investigation
West Virginia State Police responded to a fatal four vehicle accident just before 10 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 79 at the 152 milemarker northbound near Westover.

Mary Jane Wood, 47, driving on Interstate 79 when she was reportedly struck by a vehicle driven by John Robert Phillips, 46. A tractor trailer and a fourth vehicle were struck by these two original vehicles during the course of the crash. Wood was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Phillips was to taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. No other drivers were injured in the accident.
