Officers were called to Emil Street at Fish Hatchery Road at 4:11 p.m. for a report of a hit-and-run crash. Police said Steven B. Larson, 63, rear-ended a couple from Albany as they were stopped at a traffic light. The 60-year-old Albany man told police when he got out of the car with Larson he could see Larson was staggering and slurring his words.
After Larson drove away after rear-ending the couple, the Albany man used his phone to get a picture of Larson’s SUV. According to police, the cell phone image helped officers find Larson’s home, where he was arrested on suspicion of seventh-offense OWI. Larson was also cited for hit-and-run.
