1 Dead in Fiery Wisconsin Crash

The crash remains under investigation by St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Faye McCarty, 54, has been pronounced dead at the scene subsequently a crash in Richmond, Wisconsin, Friday evening. According to St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was heading south on County Road A when McCarty failed to navigate a curve. The 1998 Chevrolet Lumina veered off the roadway and into a ditch, slamming into a tree. The car went in flames with her still inside. First responders were not able to rescue McCarty, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, due to the fire.
