The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a 10-year-old boy died Friday in a snowmobile crash just east of Woodland in Wasatch County, near Highway 35. Officials say the 10-year-old was driving the snowmobile with his father and lost control of snowmobile causing it to roll. The boy suffered fatal injuries while the father sustained only minor injuries. Police say both of them were wearing helmets.

A former University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse goalie was killed in a rollover crash in Willington yesterday, according to police. Police said 24-year-old Brittney Testa, of Bridgewater, Vt., was driving northbound on River Road near Baxter Road when she lost control of her Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep rolled over onto the northbound shoulder, and Testa was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police documents show Testa was not wearing a seatbelt.

A 90-year-old Issaquah man died of injuries from a car crash Friday afternoon. According to police, two cars were turning onto East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast from Northwest Sammamish Road about 3 p.m. when they collided, causing one of the cars to hit a tree. The driver of that car and the passenger were taken to Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah, where the 90-year-old passenger died from his injuries. The driver of the other car was not injured, according to police, who are still investigating and did not identify any of the people involved.

The scene of a deadly tanker crash on Interstate 95 just south of 45th Street is now clear following a night of traffic backups on the interstate, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. All lanes were reopened just before 11:00 p.m. Friday night, close to seven hours after the accident occurred. Warner Letterman, 41, of Greenacres died after the front tire of the septic truck he was driving blew out causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a tree, said an FHP spokesperson.

Two accidents involving multiple semi trucks and other vehicles have shut down Interstate 90 eastbound in the same stretch of highway where a 31-car pileup happened on Tuesday during the holiday commute. Dispatchers say two crashes were reported about 8 p.m. I-90 eastbound is closed at state Route 615, they said. One westbound lane was also closed. The accident happened near the state Route 44 exit, the same spot of Tuesday's major crash. The Lake County Sheriff's office said two semi trucks and multiple cars are involved in the crash.

Authorities in Washburn County on Friday reported that numerous vehicles have broken through icy, snow-covered lakes, including one incident in which the driver died of exposure after walking away from the vehicle. Edward Steinhardt, 30, of Naperville, Ill., was found Friday about a half mile south of Dilly Lake in Potato Creek, according to the Washburn County Sheriff's Office. Steinhardt was an employee of a St. Louis business and had been reported missing along with a company truck Thursday.

Pregerson was found in bushes on the side of the road on the 600 block of Chautauqua Boulevard around 3:20 a.m. Police say the victim was walking home when he was hit by a car and thrown into the bushes. The driver fled the scene. Pregerson was transported to a hospital in critical condition and he later died of his injuries. Friends say the victim was a budding filmmaker and recent UCLA graduate.

A 21-year-old Renton man was killed early Friday when his car slammed into a utility pole at high speed. Officers and medics responded to the scene, in the 1100 block of South Carr Road, at about 2:20 a.m. after receiving a report of a serious crash. A witness told investigators that the car was heading west at high speed when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. The 21-year-old driver was the only one in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A utility crew had to shut off power before the body could be removed.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested in Appleton Thursday after police say she drove while drunk, ran a red light and crashed into a pickup truck, leaving one person with life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Kensington Drive and E. College Ave. The 72-year-old Green Bay man driving the truck was injured, but is expected to recover. The female driver and two of her passengers, a 22-year-old Appleton man and a 56-year-old Neenah woman, were injured in the crash. The Neenah woman's injuries were described as life-threatening.

A father was jailed after he drove away without talking to officers about running over his 4-year-old son who had fallen out of their van near a central Ohio construction site, fatally injuring the boy, according to the State Highway Patrol. Natividad de Jesus Hernandez, 30, of Columbus, was arrested Thursday after showing up at a hospital where his son, Angel Gustbabo Hernandez, died after the accident earlier in Union County, northwest of Columbus.
