Police say one man was killed and another injured after two motorcycles crashed in Springfield Saturday morning at 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of East Columbia and Murray Roads.  One man died in the collision, while the other sustained injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A crash that happened around 1 p.m. on Ohio 334 between Mechanicsburg Road and Middle Urbana Road caused a semi-truck to crash onto its side. The driver was injured and taken to a hospital. The road will be closed until crews are able to get the semi upright again.

Angel Rojas, 19, was driving a car with four other passengers on Columbia Avenue when he somehow lost control of the vehicle, departed the roadway, and struck a utility pole. The collision killed two of the backseat passengers, identified as Tristin Sherman, 18, and Juan Compton, 21, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The other backseat passenger, Devin B. Moore, 19, has been hospitalized with serious injuries, while Ashley N. Predmore, 18, sustained minor injuries.

One teen involved in a collision on U.S. 40 today was transported to the hospital after a single-vehicle accident in Harmony Township. The vehicle went off the roadway, down an embankment, and into trees. One female teen was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center. The other two teens in the car were not injured.

Jessica Crim of Springfield was killed and her brother was seriously hurt in after a Ford Focus struck a tree just after 11 a.m. on Old Columbus Road in Harmony Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Jessica Crim of Springfield, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Springfield Post. The driver, Daniel Crim, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by squad despite requests for a medical helicopter to the Clark County crash site; the request could not be fulfilled due to harsh conditions. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

Allsup was driving his go-cart around on the roads, as he frequently did, when he drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle on Beach Drive and collided with it, sustaining serious head-injuries and finally being pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators say that if Allsup had been wearing a helmet during the crash, it may have saved his life. The driver of the car was not speeding and will likely not be cited in this accident.

Well-know postal worker Smokey Stover was walking in a marked crosswalk during his route when he was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle allegedly driven by Shannon McClanahan. He was airlifted to a hospital and remains in serious condition. Stover has worked for the post office since 1958.

Thomas Sweigard, 53, of Columbus, was approaching a construction zone in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Route 4 in Clark County late Thursday night when he changed lanes to pass slowed traffic. Sweigard, whom witnesses reported was driving at a hight speed, rear-ended a semi, and his van was crushed under the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
