Sunday, January 11, 2015Coral Springs High School students Steven Hoyos, 17, and his passenger, Steven Komec, were in a 2002 Nissan Sentra that was stopped on I-95 at the Lake Ida Road overpass in Palm Beach County when they were rear-ended by a 2011 Dodge pickup truck around 6:40 a.m. Hoyos, a junior, was transported to Delray Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries. Komec, a sophomore, is in critical condition at the hospital. The 35-year-old driver of the pickup was unable to avoid the disabled car, which had front end damage.

Las Vegas, NVMike Guerrero-Sisneroz and McKayla Holmes were driving north from Las Vegas when Sisneroz lost control of the vehicle, and it entered the median and rolled. Both people were airlifted to a local hospital. Sisneroz was declared dead, and Holmes is in stable condition.

Washington, DCAuthorities said a 15-year old boy led state police on a nine-mile pursuit Sunday morning, ramming into two police cars before losing control of his vehicle and overturning on a busy stretch of Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County.
The incident closed several northbound lanes of 1-95 in Spotsylvania County, just past exit 126, police said.
