A 64-year-old man died Thursday night in a traffic crash when he was thrown from his car when it rolled over on Interstate 10 in east Harris County.

The single-vehicle wreck happened about 9 p.m. in the 100 block of East Freeway near Spur 330, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the man was driving a 2001 Honda sedan eastbound on the freeway when he lost control of the car and slammed into a guardrail. The car rolled over and landed on the guardrail. He was thrown from the vehicle.

Several people were hurt after a SUV crossed the median and struck several vehicles head on near the Sacaton Rest Area, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

While most injuries appear minor, one person was seriously hurt and taken to the Maricopa County Medical Center, DPS officers said.

Interstate 10 westbound is closed between Casa Grande and Phoenix, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

A tire blowout is believed to have caused a rollover crash that seriously injured five members of a family, including three children, on Interstate 10 in Phoenix on Thursday morning. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the family's vehicle was going west when the blowout occurred, sending the vehicle through the median and into eastbound traffic. The crash happened near 31st Avenue about 9:30 a.m. Two adults were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries, Garcia said. The three children were taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital.

A 63-year-old Pearl River man was killed Tuesday night (Dec. 31) after a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 eastbound near Causeway Boulevard in Jefferson Parish, according to Louisiana State Police Troop B. The accident happened shortly before 11 p.m. after authorities say William Grosz lost control of his 2006 Mazda Miata and collided with two vehicles as he attempted to merge into eastbound I-10 traffic from the Causeway Boulevard on-ramp.

Two people in Jackson County are dead after a series of accidents Interstate 10 on Saturday morning. It happened near mile marker 68, a Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson said. As of 9 a.m. MDOT Traffic Cameras show long back-up near the crash site where the interstate has been blocked off. The first crashes happened in the eastbound lanes of traffic but more crashes were reported in westbound lanes as well. Multiple injuries may also have been reported, the MHP spokesperson said.

A tour bus heading back from a Southern California casino crashed on a freeway east of Los Angeles early Monday, injuring 13 people, authorities said.

The bus went off the shoulder of an Interstate 10 off-ramp in Baldwin Park shortly after 4:30 a.m., a California Highway Patrol Officer said.

The bus wheels went into a small drainage ditch and it came to rest against a fence and light pole but remain upright.

Eleven people received minor injuries and two received moderate injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A Marana woman on her way to see her family in California for Christmas is dead after a rollover accident outside Phoenix. Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say 63-year-old Barbara Ann Coatsworth was pronounced dead at the scene of Monday's accident on Interstate 10 near Tonopah, about 40 miles west of Phoenix. Coatsworth's husband Bill was driving the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

Three police officers were injured while investigating a car crash on Interstate 10, New Orleans police.

According to preliminary reports, the accident happened on I-10 near the Esplanade exit about 2 a.m.

Police said the officers were standing outside their cars when a car being driven by Percy Smith, 34, crashed into them, according to a NOPD spokesman.

The three officers - who were all on duty at the time of the accident - were brought to an area hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The person airlifted to University Hospital after a tour bus crash late Monday in Seguin has survived, according to police. A tour bus from Turimex, a Mexican company, crashed into an embankment Monday after 10:30 p.m., said the Seguin Police Department. Of the 20 people aboard, 13 were injured, including children ages 2, 12 and 14, McCann said. The person who was airlifted was the only one with life-threatening injuries, he said. The rest were treated at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and most have been released, he said.

N.O.P.D. says a man died and a woman was critically injured in a single car accident in the Desire neighborhood.

Police say a 47-year-old woman was driving eastbound on I-10 near the Louisa Street exit ramp at about 10:15 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a metal light pole and a concrete guard barrier.

She was in critical condition, and a male passenger died at the hospital, according to police.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
