A Port St. Lucie man was arrested on Thursday for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, after he allegedly rammed into a car an ex-roommate was riding in, authorities said. Joseph Day and Ashley Biasetti told Port St. Lucie Police that Biasetti’s ex-roommate, Bryan Douglas Dotts, had smashed into the car they were in then drove away, according to a probable cause affidavit. Biasetti said that she went to a Walmart with Dotts, 50, but got out of his car and jumped into Day’s vehicle.

A man was lying on the FEC railroad tracks when has struck and killed by a southbound train in Boynton Beach Thursday morning. The area of Woolbright Road and Ocean Avenue where the crash happened will be closed for several hours as authorities investigate, said a Boynton Beach police spokeswoman.

The crash was reported at 8:57 a.m. The man was hit by a freight train headed for Miami carrying autos and merchandise in containers, said a Florida East Coast Railway spokesman in an email. The investigation will be handled by Boynton Beach police.

A Georgia man was killed in a crash Monday night on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County. At 11:27 p.m., a Nissan Maximan driven by Tahseen Tanzil, 26, of Lilburn, Ga., went off the road and rolled over into a pond on southbound I-95 at Belvedere Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The car came to rest partially submerged in the pond on its rooftop. The ramp to Belvedere Road was closed for a period of time but back open by 5 a.m. Tanzil was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center but later pronounced dead. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

A person was airlifted to Delray Medical Center after a motorcycle accident Sunday night in Lantana, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.

Crews arrived to the accident scene at Lantana Road and Congress Avenue around 7:15 p.m. and found “several patients laying in the roadway,” a Fire Rescue spokesman.

The first patient had injuries that required a Trauma Hawk flight to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

A second patient suffered minor injuries and was transported to JFK Medical Center in Atlantis for treatment.

One man was transported to Delray Medical Center as a trauma alert after suffering injuries in a single-vehicle rollover accident, said a spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Fire rescue crews responded to the accident around 1:00 p.m. in the 3100 block of Woolbright Road.

Upon arrival, crews found a car on its roof and the only occupant of the car laying in the roadway. The patient was pulled from the car by bystanders, Borroto said.
