A Lockport man faced a number of charges after he allegedly was driving drunk when he left the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday, at Lincoln and Beattie avenues. No serious injuries were reported, but an expectant mother whose vehicle was rear-ended was taken to Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport for observation.

Michael J. Kuhn, 33, of South New York Street was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood alcohol level more than two times the legal limit of 0.08 percent, following too closely and leaving the scene of an accident.

Kauai police have arrested the driver involved in a fatal traffic crash in Kilauea Tuesday night.

James Monroe, 51, was arrested Wednesday morning for negligent injury and negligent homicide. Police say he was the driver of the Ford pickup truck that struck and killed a Kilauea man along Kuhio Hwy. at around 7:25 p.m., just south of Wailapa Rd.

A Hokes Bluff woman is dead following a Tuesday morning auto accident in Cleburne County, according to the Alabama State Troopers.

The accident happened at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday about seven miles south of Heflin on U.S. 431, according to a news release.

Wynell Studdard McDougal, 64, died when the vehicle she was driving left the road and struck a utility pole.

The accident is still under investigation.

A man was taken by helicopter ambulance to San Antonio Military Medical Center hospital after a tractor-trailer he was driving spun out late Tuesday on Southeast Loop 410 near the Sinclair Road exit.

A Union man was killed in an accident on his own property Tuesday.

Boone County sheriff's deputies were called to the 12000 block of Big Oak Road late Tuesday after a friend of the man living there went to check on his well-being after no one had heard from him since 10 a.m.

But the friend arrived to find the house open with no one around.

Deputies soon found Walter Boyd, 75, inside a pickup overturned in a creek near his home.

Indianapolis Metro Police say they are looking for two people who ran from the scene of a crash that killed a baby that was in the car.

The crash happened at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say two vehicles were eastbound on 38th Street near I-65 when one vehicle struck the other from behind.

Police say the rear vehicle ended up in a ditch and the two occupants took off running from the scene.

Overnight, police dogs and a helicopter were used to try and find the pair, but so far nothing has turned up.

Rankin County Deputy Coroner Cliff Dunlap confirms that Olivia Rae Watkins was killed Tuesday (3-4-14) afternoon in Florence, Mississippi.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey says that the 17 year old lost control of her car and hit a tree. The cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma. It was a single car accident. Watkins was driving a four door sedan.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. Watkins was a senior at McLaurin High School. Robin Haney, Director of Public Relations for the Rankin County School District issued a statement this (3-5-14) morning.

Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans says a Pelzer woman died in a fiery crash Tuesday night.

The crash happened at 6 p.m. on Old Pelzer Road in Piedmont, according to Evans.

The coroner said 22 year old Hayley Gunter was a passenger in a car that lost control, left the road, and overturned in a field. The car then caught on fire.

Evans said Gunter was not wearing a seat belt, and was thrown from the car. She was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is planned for Wednesday.

A Billings man who died when his vehicle struck a city snow removal auger early Tuesday has been identified as 47-year-old Mark Hamilton.

The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the torso, said Chad Fehr, deputy Yellowstone County coroner.

The crash was reported at 12:37 a.m., according to a Billings Police Department press release from Sgt. Pat Curry.

Hamilton was headed west in his 1995 Ford Explorer and the snow removal vehicle was headed east when the two collided near the intersection of Underpass Avenue and Calhoun Lane, Curry said.

A Preston man accused of drunk driving on his 21st birthday is facing charges after leading police on a chase through Columbia and Willimantic, authorities said.

Jackob Tate’s blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit and there were open bottles of alcohol in the car, according to Willimantic police.

Tate, of Prodell Road in Preston, was driving his green pickup truck the wrong way on Route 6 in Windham around 8:45 p.m. March 3, police said. It was Tate's birthday.
