A victim in a multi-car crash in Kansas City, Kan., Wednesday has died from her injuries.

Jessica G. Snitz-Rodrigues, 30, of Kansas City, Kan., suffered injuries in a crash at the intersection of 106th Street and Parallel Parkway.

Police said a vehicle traveling westbound on Parallel Parkway struck two cars turning east on Parallel Parkway. It was not clear which vehicle Snitz-Rodrigues was in.

A woman was arrested on DUI charges after a sport utility truck struck three people late Wednesday outside a popular Bike Week hangout in Ormond Beach.

Eunice Cich, 52, of Toronto, Ohio, was arrested after the crash, which happened around 11:30 p.m. near the Iron Horse Saloon on U.S. 1 near Airport Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to troopers, Sherry Ann Pyle, 44, of Palm Coast was taken to Halifax Hospital in critical condition.

A 64-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car as he attempted to cross Gallows Road in the Merrifield area Wednesday morning, Fairfax County police said.

Leroy Jewell, of Falls Church, was hit by a Toyota Corolla around 7 a.m. while he was walking in the roadway near Belleforest Drive. Jewell was transported to a local hospital where he died.

The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, but speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.

Troopers with the NC Highway Patrol say one person was killed in a vehicle crash in Union County Wednesday afternoon.

The incident was reported at 5:27 p.m. on Rocky River Road South, according to the NC Highway Patrol.

Harley Glenn Wallace, 34, of Lancaster, SC, was driving a 2002 Chrysler van southbound when he crossed the median and hit a 2005 Chevrolet pick-up truck headed northbound.

Wallace was killed on impact, Troopers say.

A mother and son escaped a pick up truck that plowed into their home in west San Antonio Wednesday night.

According to police, someone driving a SUV in the 5200 block of Hemphill hit a curb. Investigators said the SUV slammed into a white pick-up truck pushing it into a house.

A woman and a child were in a bed inside the house. Police said the two went flying across the room but were not injured.

Witnesses claim the SUV’s driver attempted to flee the scene.

SAPD was checking to determine if alcohol was a factor and if criminal charges will be filed.

A juvenile was struck and injured while walking in crosswalk on Wednesday evening in San Francisco’s Balboa Terrace neighborhood.

Police said a boy was hit by a car that was turning onto Junipero Serra Boulevard from Ocean Avenue.

The boy was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The driver remained at the scene and was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian and not having proper proof of insurance.

The collision remains under investigation.

Police identified a woman who was struck and killed by a car while jogging along a road in Ashburn as Jaime A. Rowley, 31, of Broadlands.

A 2009 Nissan Rogue was traveling southbound on Claiborne Parkway just before 7 a.m. Wednesday when it struck Rowley as she was jogging, police said. The 61-year-old female driver immediately stopped, police said, and began administering CPR to Rowley.

Rowley was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Rescuers using spotlights and cadaver dogs searched for survivors into Thursday morning after a thunderous blast in East Harlem killed six people and leveled two apartment buildings.

At least four women and two men died in the Wednesday morning explosion and collapse of 1644 and 1646 Park Ave.

More than 50 people were injured during the uptown horror that erupted into flames, clouds of dust and smoke, and a desperate search among the rubble of the five-story buildings. Those who weren’t injured were traumatized nonetheless.

A falling tree led to a fatal crash in Winston-Salem on Wednesday.

Authorities with the Winston-Salem Police Department said the crash happened in the 2000 block of Reynolda Road.

Investigators said a large tree was uprooted by strong winds and fell onto a Ford Focus being driven by Justin Cardwell, 25, of Winston-Salem.

Cardwell died at the scene of the crash.

A 55-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car as she crossed Boston Road near Five Mile Pond just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

She was taken by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, said an aide to the Police Commissioner.

She was later identified as Zoraida Moctezuma.

She was hit crossing Boston Road near the Jiffy Lube at 1130 Boston Road, police said.

The vehicle that hit her was operated by a 60-year-old man. His name was also not released.
