Troopers ID victim in fatal Union Co. vehicle crash.

Troopers with the NC Highway Patrol say one person was killed in a vehicle crash in Union County Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers with the NC Highway Patrol say one person was killed in a vehicle crash in Union County Wednesday afternoon.

The incident was reported at 5:27 p.m. on Rocky River Road South, according to the NC Highway Patrol.

Harley Glenn Wallace, 34, of Lancaster, SC, was driving a 2002 Chrysler van southbound when he crossed the median and hit a 2005 Chevrolet pick-up truck headed northbound.

Wallace was killed on impact, Troopers say.

The driver of the pick-up truck, 50-year-old Janet Carter of Waxhaw, was transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte for treatment.
