State Police have identified the woman killed Wednesday when struck by a car on Boston Road near Five Mile Pond as 55-year-old Zoraida Moctezuma of Springfield.

A 55-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car as she crossed Boston Road near Five Mile Pond just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

She was taken by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, said an aide to the Police Commissioner.
She was later identified as Zoraida Moctezuma.
She was hit crossing Boston Road near the Jiffy Lube at 1130 Boston Road, police said.
The vehicle that hit her was operated by a 60-year-old man. His name was also not released.
