Dennis D. Marlon, 34, was stopped at a red light on the westbound highway in his Pontiac Grand Am, where the highway intersects with Washougal River Road. When the light turned green, he entered the intersection and was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Aveo driven by Emily A. Hoyt, 17, of Vancouver. The crash was reported at 11:29 a.m. Marlon was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He was also cited by the State Patrol for driving with a suspended license. Troopers said Hoyt wasn't paying attention and cited her for following too closely.

A school bus swerving to avoid hitting a pair of deer has skidded off a road in rural LaSalle County and tipped onto its side, injuring the driver and two children. Sandwich School District 430 Superintendent said the bus was taking children to Lighted Way, a school for students with special needs in LaSalle. He says the driver swerved to avoid hitting two deer on U.S. Route 52 around 8 a.m. Friday. The bus skidded on loose gravel and toppled onto its side in a ditch.

A Lutz man killed in a crash has been identified as the victim of a single-car crash on Interstate 75 early Friday. Nicholas P. Marsicano, 59, was driving a 2004 Chevy Venture northbound on the interstate through Sarasota County near Border Road when the accident occurred about 4:20 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Marsicano lost control of the Chevy after experiencing a medical event near the Border Road overpass, a FHP news release stated.

A 71-year-old woman was in serious condition Friday after she was struck by a pickup truck on a Riverton sidewalk. A Unified Police Lt. said the woman sustained head injuries when a 33-year-old man driving a Chevrolet pickup hit her about 7 a.m. Friday at 13279 S. 2700 West. Hoyal said the driver was just pulling out of a daycare center, where he had dropped off his child, and did not see the woman walking near the entrance in time to avoid hitting her. The woman was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray by Unified Fire Authority paramedics.

Police have identified two people killed in a fiery car crash in Bucks County Friday morning. Buckingham Township Police have identified the victims as 30-year-old Nicole Bereshny of Hatfield and 50-year-old Yan Zou of Jamison. The crash happened at about 7:15 a.m. along Route 202 (York Road) near Ash Mill Road in Buckingham Township. The scene shortly after the accident where it showed two cars that appeared to have collided head-on and both burst into flames. Firefighters and police arrived quickly, but could not do anything — gasoline-fueled flames keeping them away.

The driver of a vehicle thrown from an interstate overpass in Opelika Friday morning has died, Opelika police confirm. Benjamin Rice, 32, of Lanett, was not wearing his seatbelt as he drove to his job at Auburn University, information from Opelika police and the county coroner suggests. Around 7:50a ct, Rice was driving southbound on Interstate 85 when his 2004 Ford F-150 flipped near the highway's overpass with South Long Street. The vehicle came to rest on the bridge's guardrail.

Houston police are investigating a fatal accident near the Houston Heights. It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Yale Street. Police say a 41-year-old man was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian did not use a crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene until emergency crews responded. Officials say the man was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No charges have been filed at this time.

A single-engine plane crash landed behind the Palatka Lowe's store on Friday morning and authorities try to figure out what cause the planed to go down about 1,500 feet short of the runway at Kay Larkin Field. Authorities say two men aboard the Cessna 400 were injured -- both flown by air ambulance to UF Health/Shands in Gainesville, where the passenger was reported to have life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating a Wilbur school bus accident in New Castle County. Around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning, a vehicle rear-ended the bus as it was getting ready to turn on to Wrangle Hill Road. Officials say 45 students were on the bus and 14 of them were sent to Christiana Hospital. The bus driver, Nichole Lambert, 26, and the driver of the other vehicle Madison Brooks, 23, were also taken for treatment. They were all treated and released.

A Polk County school bus accident sent 12 Crystal Lake Middle School students to the hospital Thursday morning with minor injuries. It happened around 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of South Crystal Lake Drive and US 98 in Lakeland. Alicia Delgado said it wasn't the collision that sent her running to the scene Thursday morning, but what she heard shortly after. Authorities say a Subaru was two cars behind a school bus carrying 30 Crystal Lake Middle School students.
