The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a crash that killed a 17-year-old Massillon girl on Friday.

Jamie Lynn DeLeon of Massillon was attempting to cross Lillian Gish boulevard in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Gregg Harris, 50, of Massillon. Gregg was making a right turn when the accident occurred.

Harris was not injured in the crash. Troopers said he was wearing his seatbelt.

DeLeon was transported to Affinity Hospital by the Massillon fire department, where she later died of her injuries.

At about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, a 38-year-old woman died in a head-on crash on U.S. Route 1 in Warren.

Police say Alison Low of Warren was driving south when her car was struck by a northbound vehicle that crossed the center-line. Three others were injured.

A woman is in custody after leading police on a short chase and crashing into another vehicle along the way.

A car ended up in the side of a house after a brief police chase. Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office deputies say it all started when a deputy was patrolling the Birnam Wood subdivision in north Harris County. They say the driver of a silver car was speeding.

A woman was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries Friday morning after she got off an RTD bus and then was hit by a vehicle.

The accident happened about 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, according to a tweet by the Denver Police Department.

The bus stopped to let the woman out, but it was not at a bus stop and the bus was not in the lane closest to the sidewalk.

Northbound Sheridan was closed at Alameda as investigators worked the scene, and other traffic was being rerouted. It was reopened just before 9:30 a.m.

A 16-year-old driver was cited for following too close to another car after rear-ending a car and causing a four-vehicle crash near Redmond in which five people were injured.

It began about 2 p.m. Thursday when a car driven by Donna Woodman, 54, of Redmond, had stopped on Oregon 126 to turn into the Cline Falls State Park lot, Oregon State Police reported.

Her car was struck by car, which then slid off the shoulder and hit a parked truck, troopers said.

The band director at a high school in Jackson suffered fatal injuries in a crash with a school bus. Police said Michael Congiardo's car ran a red light and hit the bus Friday afternoon. He was leaving a school function at Madison Academic Magnet High School, where he is the band director. A man who saw Congiardo before the crash said the car also hit a fence. "I asked him if he was all right," said Dr. Keith Taylor, a Jackson physician. "He told me he was, and then he shot down the street and ran a red light."

Police said two 12-year-old girls were injured in an off-road vehicle crash in Wells County Friday night. One of the girls was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital in serious condition after she was pinned underneath the ORV. According to Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers, Trinity Wine, 12, of Keystone, was driving a Polaris Ranger with passenger Tess Gilbert, 12, of Warren, on private property in the area of 1500 E. 900 S. in Keystone shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.

A Hempfield woman has been identified as the person killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in North Huntingdon. Judith I. Huntsberger, 74, was pronounced dead at 5:17 p.m., about an hour after her Buck LeSabre crossed the center line on state route 30 near North Thompson Lane, the Westmoreland County coroner's office said this morning. Ms. Huntsberger crossed the center line for an unknown reason and collided head on with another vehicle. She was not wearing a seat belt, the coroner's office said.

Two men are dead from a road rage incident, San Antonio police said Friday. Officers were called to the scene of the fatal car crash on San Pedro Avenue, just north of Basse Road, Friday around 2 p.m. A witness stated that the drivers of a silver Acura and a white Crown Victoria were racing at high speeds on San Pedro. The passenger in the Acura, who was hanging outside of the vehicle's window, was arguing with the driver of the Crown Victoria and at some point, fell out of the car near San Pedro and Avenue Del Rey.

A teenage boy was killed and a teenage girl was critically injured after they were hit by a freight train while walking to a high school dance in Northern California Friday evening, authorities said. The accident happened near Marysville's only high school and a little league park where a game was being played, CalFire Capt. Dennis Hunt said. The boy, later identified as Mateus Gabriel Moore, 16, died at the scene and the girl, later identified as Mickayla Friend, was airlifted to hospital with traumatic injuries, Hunt said.
