A Lutz man killed in a crash has been identified as the victim of a single-car crash on Interstate 75 early Friday.
A Lutz man killed in a crash has been identified as the victim of a single-car crash on Interstate 75 early Friday.
Nicholas P. Marsicano, 59, was driving a 2004 Chevy Venture northbound on the interstate through Sarasota County near Border Road when the accident occurred about 4:20 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Marsicano lost control of the Chevy after experiencing a medical event near the Border Road overpass, a FHP news release stated.
The Chevy struck a guardrail on the east shoulder of the interstate, veered back across the northbound lanes and slammed into a palm tree in the median.
Authorities did not reveal any details about the medical event.
