A man was killed when the car he was in collided with a cement mixer truck in Levittown, Bucks County Thursday morning.

The crash happened at 8:52 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Edgely Road and Goldenridge Drive.

According to investigators, the cement mixer was traveling south on Edgely Road and the Buick was traveling east on Goldenridge Drive.

The 85-year-old Levittown man behind the wheel of the Buick was transported to St. Mary Medical Center by Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad where he was pronounced deceased.

Two children were airlifted from a crash scene near Alexandria on Thursday afternoon after the dirt bike they were riding on was struck by a Jeep.

It happened shortly before 3 p.m. Police said the girls on the bike came out of the entrance of A.J. Jolly Park, pulling out in front of the driver of the Jeep and were struck.

The girls, later identified as Elena Stang, and Julie Mueller, were flown to UC Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Deputies said both girl were unconscious when they were transported from the scene.

Officials are investigating a crash that killed two people in Russell County.

It happened early Thursday morning on KY-80, east of Russell Springs.

Bacilio Salamanca, 66, pulled into the path of a truck.

Salamanca and a passenger, Jose Otanendi, were not wearing seat belts, and both died at the hospital.

Two others were taken to UK Hospital where they're listed in critical condition.

Thursday morning on U.S. 59 in El Campo.

The wreck occurred about 7:15 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Wharton County Road 404, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Three inmates from the Texas Department Criminal Justice as well as two TDCJ sergeants were in the van, said spokesman Robert Hurst.

Hurst said all five people were taken to the hospital in El Campo. Details of their injuries and conditions were not released.

Two people suffered minor injuries after their vehicles collided in front of the Overall Company, a popular Opelika restaurant, Thursday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of South Tenth Street and Avenue B around 8 a.m.

One of the vehicles jumped the curb and came to rest on the sidewalk just in front of the restaurant. While it was close, authorities say the vehicle stopped just short of the building, avoiding any damage to the structure.

The vehicles have since been removed from the scene. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

Five people were injured in a seven vehicle wreck on Interstate 95 in Wilmington, Delaware on Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 9:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Delaware Avenue.

All southbound lanes were shut down for more than an hour while rescuers cleared the scene.

The five people were reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.

There was no immediate word on the cause of this crash.

A driver who who led deputies on a chase that resulted in a fatal wreck in Foley on Wednesday is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol, the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said.

The Sheriff's Office said it suspects the collision happened when the driver who was being pursued — Steven Little — ran a red light at Alabama 59 and Azalea Avenue.

The Dodge truck that Little was driving collided with a car being driven by Ronald Ealey, 42, of East Azalea Avenue in Foley. The accident claimed Ealey's life.

Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash on Almaden Expressway Thursday that sent two drivers to the hospital and closed a stretch of Almaden Expressway just south of Highway 85 as the morning commute was getting underway, San Jose police said.

Two vehicles going through the intersection of Coleman Road and Almaden Expressway just after 12 a.m. collided, sending both drivers to the hospital, said San Jose police Sgt. Matt Christian.

A vehicle struck a guard rail and flipped onto its roof, early Thursday morning in Buffalo. Police say three people were taken to Erie County Medical Center with injuries.

The accident happened on Route 33, near Fillmore Avenue, around 2 a.m. The road was closed for a short period of time because of the crash.

There is no word on the condition of the victims.

One person was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after an accident between a car and a motorcycle.

Officials say the Unified Police Department responded to 6200 South 4800 W. around 6:30 a.m.

Details remain unclear but officials say the person on the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
