A Miami-Dade Police Officer is facing DUI charges after he knocked over a shopping cart containing two children in a parking lot while off-duty, officials said. Ryan Robinson, 41, was arrested on charges of DUI, DUI property damage and DUI causing serious bodily injury in the incident that happened Saturday night at the Publix parking lot at 20425 Old Cutler Road, according to a Miami-Dade Police news release.

Ronny Gray Jr., 25 seriously injured, transported to hospital, after being struck by a car, driven by Felicia Remmen, 36, who was arrested for assault, on Perlman Street in St. Paul.

A St. Paul woman was charged with assault Monday after a man who tried to prevent her from driving drunk was injured after jumping onto the hood of her car as she drove toward him. Felicia Remmen, 36, was charged in Ramsey County District Court with first- and second-degree assault in the incident in which Ronny Gray Jr., 25, was thrown from the moving vehicle and sustained head injuries. He was listed in fair condition at Regions Hospital on Monday after improving from critical condition. According to the complaint:

Two young people are dead and three other high school students remain seriously hurt after they were involved in a rollover crash in Vacaville this weekend. All five teens were ejected when a truck lost control and rolled over in a field on Pleasant Valley Road near Chester Way around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol. Speed and alcohol likely contributed to the crash, police said. The students attend Vacaville High School. Police said they were not wearing seat belts as they headed back from Lake Berryessa.

A passenger was killed Saturday night in a wrong way crash of I-480 westbound on Cleveland’s west side. The fatal accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on I-480 WB near W. 130th Street in Cleveland. Officers said the investigation reveals that 40-year-old Julio Cesar Vargas drove his vehicle the wrong way on the I-480 WB exit ramp. Police said Vargas entered the exit ramp and crashed into another vehicle, injuring two people. Desiree Snyder, 22, of Cleveland was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she was treated, expired, and pronounced dead Sunday.

A man seriously injured in a DUI crash on the Eastern Shore on Saturday has died. Lenwood Bowen and Melissa Johnson were riding in a 2003 Lexus on Route 695 on Saturday evening when it was struck by a Ford Mustang that crossed into oncoming traffic. Bowen died from his injuries Sunday. Johnson was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Mustang, Ronnie Washington, was hospitalized with non life threatening injuries and later charged with driving under the influence.

Maya J. Martinez, 5, killed, Bianca G. Sekayouma, 38, Mia N. Martinez, 7, injured, transported to hospital, after their SUV left the U.S. 95 roadway in Lapwai at a curve, struck a utility pole and overturned several times, ejecting all the passengers.

A 5-year-old girl died in a car wreck Saturday night in Lapwai, Idaho.

Maya J. Martinez was killed when a 2006 Jeep Commander driven by Bianca G. Sekayouma, 38, failed to negotiate a curve on U.S. 95. The vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled multiple times.

Sekayouma, Maya Martinez and 7-year-old Mia N. Martinez, all Lapwai residents, were ejected from the vehicle. Neither the woman nor the two children were wearing seat belts, the Idaho State Police said.

Sekayouma and Mia Martinez were injured and taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Friends are mourning the loss of 19-year-old Keleian Braden Sunday night, another possible victim of street racing gone terribly wrong. It's happening in streets across the country, but far too often ends in tragedy. Brandon Roques says his 19-year-old brother Keleian Braden was a just spectator at a street race in Raleigh Saturday evening. "He's down here almost every Saturday, just so happened this Saturday he just got killed," said Roques.

Charity R. Rumbolz, 24, killed, Cain M. Bivins, 33, injured, arrested, transported to hospital, after their ATV leaves Sinlahekin Road, crashes down a 100 foot cliff and lands in Conconully Lake near Omak.

An Omak man faces a vehicular homicide charge after an ATV accident Saturday night that left his passenger dead. The victim, Charity R. Rumbolz, 24, of Omak, was found dead early today in Conconully Lake. Cain M. Bivins, 33, was booked into the Okanogan County Jail. Alcohol was a factor in the accident. Bivins was driving the ATV on Sinlahekin Road along the upper reservoir of Conconully Lake when he lost control on a sharp corner. The ATV went over a 100-foot cliff and into the water. Bivins was ejected but Rumbolz, who was wearing a seat belt, sunk with the ATV in about 30 feet of water.

Tanuja Farma, 28, Carlos Ferreira, 28, Adeel Khan, 29, Tony Lal, 35, suffer minor injuries, transported to hospital, after their car leaves the roadway on Shore Boulevard in Queens, hit a metal fence and crashed into the East River.

Hours after four young people were killed in a deadly Queens crash, a second car carrying a group of friends swerved off a nearby road and also plunged into the water — but in this case, all escaped with their lives. The accident happened Saturday at around 4 a.m. on 20th Avenue and Shore Boulevard — just a mile from the fatal accident that killed the foursome of childhood friends. As the five pals reached the edge of 20th Avenue, the driver lost control of the 2010 Toyota — which hit a metal fence and overturned into the East River, sources said.

Corlas Dorel Dennis, 52, killed, after his motorcycle is struck by a SUV, driven by Freddie Ray Fair Sr. 81, on State Route 13 in Temperanceville.

One person was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon on the Eastern Shore. A spokesperson with the Virginia State Police said the accident happened around 2:50 p.m. in Temperancville. Anaya said a motorcycle was headed south on Route 13 when a Chevrolet Suburban came onto the roadway from Saxis Road, into the path of the motorcycle. 52-year-old Corlas Dorel Dennis was thrown off the motorcycle and suffered major injuries. Nightingale was called to the scene, and Dennis was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Maryland, where he later died.
