A suspect in a deadly hit-and-run crash was apparently more interested in the damage sustained to his vehicle than the well-being of the victim whom he abandoned, according to a Glendale police report.

The Glendale Police Department is asking for your help to nab the driver.

Pete Rivas, 62, was walking in an unmarked crosswalk in the 6000 block of W. Bethany Home Road around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, when he was hit by a white SUV, said police spokeswoman Tracey Breeden.

The two people killed early Saturday morning in a crash off of U.S. Highway 101 in Menlo Park have been identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office as Taufa Toutai Pupunu, 27, of Redwood City and Gaudi Salgado Barrios, 26, of East Palo Alto.

The crash was reported at 1:52 a.m. Saturday on southbound Highway 101 near the Willow Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials said Barrios was speeding when she lost control of the car, which struck a tree, launched into the air and struck another tree.

A man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a deadly crash on the Gulf Freeway near Hobby Airport.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday near Airport Boulevard.

Ricky Goodwin, 27, is accused of driving drunk and killing his passenger after the Dodge Challenger he was driving slammed into a Houston fire truck that was responding to an accident on the freeway.

Police said a witness -- an off-duty police officer -- told investigators Goodwin may have been racing another vehicle prior to the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol says two motorcyclists died when their sport bikes left the road, went through a fence and ran into trees.

The crash happened late Saturday in Dunnellon but wasn't discovered until Sunday morning when Rainbow River State Park employees showed up for work.

The Ocala Star-Banner reported the impact scattered pieces of the motorcycles over several hundred yards.

Troopers say 22-year-old Justin Richard and 27-year-old Douglas Scott Keller were traveling at a "high rate of speed."

A Corvallis man died and four Philomath residents suffered minor injuries in a Saturday afternoon crash in Albany, the Benton County Sheriff's Office said.

Boyd Everett Taylor, 48, was driving westbound on U.S. 20 just east of Scenic Drive when he lost control of his 1999 Kia Sportage around 3:42 p.m., authorities said. He crossed broadside into the eastbound lane, where an oncoming 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 pickup collided head-on with the passenger side of Taylor's car.

A rollover crash on Interstate 84 sent at least one person to the hospital Saturday evening.

Idaho State Police say 21-year-old Raelee L. Asson of Meridian was driving westbound on I-84 when she tried to change into a lane occupied by another vehicle. Asson over corrected and crashed into 62-year-old Allen L. Centers.

Centers' 2011 Toyota Four Runner rolled and came to rest on the right shoulder. Centers and his passenger were both taken to the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.

A Thomasville man died after crashing his motorcycle Saturday afternoon.

David Wayne Byerly, 42, was injured in the crash just after noon on Kennedy Road near Lambeth Road south of Thomasville. He was taken to a Thomasville hospital, where he died a short time later.

Byerly was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson when he lost control, was thrown off the bike and hit a car, troopers said.

Byerly was going too fast for the congested traffic on the road, troopers said.

A rollover crash west of Mountain Home sent five children and two adults to the hospital Saturday afternoon shortly after 5 p.m.

The Elmore County Sheriff's Office reports that a 2004 Ford Excursion was traveling eastbound when for unknown reasons the driver of the vehicle lost control and veered off the right shoulder. The Excursion rolled several times before stopping on it's roof.

One adult passenger was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected. The other adult passenger had to be extricated.

One person is dead after a driver ran a red light, leading to a serious crash in West Philadelphia Saturday night.

A gray Camaro and blue Buick were travelling eastbound on Chestnut Street near 58th Street around 6:30 p.m. when the two vehicles struck a silver Nissan Altima that ran a red light, according to reports.

Officials confirm the Nisan's driver, a 53-year-old female, was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
