The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man killed in the car crash Thursday morning as 22-year-old Nico Ballesteros of Waialua.

Police confirmed the 21-year-old driver of the Honda Accord was traveling down Kuala Street and hit a traffic signal pole. He was transported to the Queen's Medical Center in serious condition while his 22-year-old passenger is in critical condition. Police plan to arrest the driver for allegedly driving under the influence and without a license.

HPD opened a negligent injury case following the incident.

A partner in Kerr County's famed YO Ranch died in a crash about two miles southeast of Fredericksburg on Thursday, his family confirmed Friday.

The Texas Department of Public safety said Walter Schreiner, 60, of Mountain Home, was killed around 10:30 p.m. when his Chevrolet Tahoe crashed into a telephone pole.

He had been headed north on FM 1376 when his vehicle veered off the side of the road. According to the DPS, Schreiner overcorrected and crashed on the opposite side of the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A cyclist killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer truck Thursday afternoon in the Marigny has been identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner.

Philip Geeck, 52, was pronounced dead on the scene after being hit and run over by the truck about 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of St. Claude and Elysian Fields avenues, said John Gagliano, a spokesman for the Orleans Parish coroner's office.

The truck driver, identified only as a 51-year-old man from Violet, was neither arrested nor cited, according to NOPD spokesman Officer Garry Flot.

A 42-year-old woman walking home from work was killed when a utility van jumped the curb, striking her and another pedestrian.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office today identified the victim as Tina Faye Oliver. Authorities said she lived not far from where she was killed.

Her sister, Barbara Oliver, was at the home the two shared resting before going to work herself. She got a phone call about a terrible accident on Bessemer Road.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified Eunice Querner, 87, as the woman who died Thursday in a North Side crash.

Querner died at the scene of a four-car accident at about 2:30 p.m. on the interchange between U.S. 281 northbound and Loop 410 westbound.

Querner was a passenger in a Cadillac driven by a man, 59, authorities said. Another man driving a Chevrolet Suburban slammed into the Cadillac, which ricocheted into another car, which crashed into the fourth car, police said.
