Raheem Morris, 16, died in a car crash on Saturday, December 13th on GA Highway 17 at Marlow Road in Effingham County. Morris attended Effingham High School. Witnesses say that he did not stop at the stop sign, and a truck driver did not have time to react, resulting in the fatal collision. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The intersection is a two way stop.

A 17-year-old girl was struck by a train at the Garfield Crossing and critically injured. Responders transported her to a local hospital where she is listed in critical condition. Check back for updates.

The 19-year-old driver in a high-speed crash that killed a 16-year-old girl Friday is suspected of driving impaired and faces a possible murder charge. Robert Joseph Lopez Jr., of Glendale, was arrested Sunday. Five people, including 16-year-old Devonna Crouch, were riding in the vehicle when Lopez lost control and slammed into a freeway light pole. Crouch was killed in the impact.  A witness said the sedan crossed between lanes on the road and performed risky maneuvers, such as pulling across all the lanes of traffic, and that Lopez might have been trying to scare the people in the car.

At about 8:45pm, Claudio was driving on Highway 37 when he crossed over the median and collided head-on with a car driven by Amalia, who was stopped and waiting to make a left turn, and both drivers were killed in the crash. A patrol officer reportedly caught Claudio traveling at 80 mph just before the crash, while the speed limit for the area was only 55 mph.

Paul Chuilli Jr. reportedly lost control of his vehicle while driving around a curve on Aldrich Road and hit a tree, sustaining fatal injuries. Firefighters were able to remove him from his car and transport him to a local hospital where he later died. Chuilli was the son of a Bridgewater firefighter, and the stepson of a Bridgewater police officer.

Idaho State police said that Jonathon Adamson, 18, was attempting to drive across railroad track in Shelley Wednesday morning when his pickup was struck by a train. Adamson was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, where he died.

The crash occurred between L. Landry Road and Coon Trap Road on Louisiana Highway 74 in Gonzales shortly before 7:40 a.m. Three Dutchtown High School students were on their way to school and were about a mile away when their car crashed head-on into another car that was driving the wrong way in their lane. One of the students, Claire Carline, a freshman who is reported to have been either 14 or 15, was killed. She was a passenger in the back seat.

On Tuesday afternoon, Crystal Schaller, 17, was driving on Mountain Road in Washington Township, Lehigh County when her vehicle hit a cement structure, then spun around before shearing a utility pole and finally rolling over.  She was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:20 p.m. She died from multiple traumatic injuries and her death was ruled an accident, the coroner's office said.

A single-vehicle crash at around 1 a.m. has resulted in the death of David Shultz III, 20. Shultz was driving southbound on Del Prado Boulevard when the truck left the roadway, struck a concrete pillar in a gas station parking lot, and rolled over. Schultz was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The next of kin for David V. Schultz III have been notified. It is not known at this time if alcohol or drug use was involved in the crash.

Thomas J. Overbeck of Deiterich was killed when his car crossed into oncoming traffic on Illinois 33 and was hit by a semi driven by Jerry Cross, 48, of Willow Hill. Cross swerved but was unable to avoid hitting Overbeck's vehicle, and Overbeck died at the scene. Cross was minorly injured but declined treatement, and no citations were issued.
