A 15-year-old Maclenny teen and cheerleader is in serious condition after a car accident Friday afternoon. Hope Fly was a passenger in a Pontiac Grand Am northbound on Florida 121 about 3:25 p.m. when 16-year-old driver Allison Theophile drove the car into the path of a Chevy Blazer. Amanda Perry, 20, of Glen St. Mary was southbound in the Chevy and tried to avoid a collision but smashed into its passenger side. Andrew Perry was also in the Chevy. Fly was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and was transported to a hospital in serious condition.

Just before 11:30pm, Daley was attempting to cross Ford Street when he was struck by a an SUV driven by Fuentes, who after striking the man got out of his car, but then chose to leave the scene and lie about the accident to his mother, the owner of the SUV. Daley, while lying in the roadway was actually then struck by another vehicle, though there is little information about it. After being taken to Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, Daley was pronounced dead, and Fuentes has since been arrested.

Sometime in the morning a pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old male was traveling westbound on Highway 2 attempted to merge into the left lane, but ended up hitting a bicyclist that was also in the right lane. The 63-year-old bicyclist, Richard Pratt, was not wearing a helmet, and was critically injured. Investigation of this accident is ongoing. A 16-year-old male was riding a bike on Stockton Street at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, when he collided with a police vehicle near Pacific Coast Producers. Murad Khan was riding his bike on the sidewalk when the crash happened. He was transported to a local hospital, where doctors said he does not have life threatening injuries.

Jesse Benson was on his way to school when the pickup he was driving crashed into another car on Route 21 in Graysville, killing the 18-year-old. Police say Benson was traveling to West Greene Middle and High School at around 7:50 a.m. Tuesday when he sped around a line of traffic on Route 21. According to police, another motorist trying to make a left turn out of the line of traffic clipped Benson's pickup, which caused it to flip end over end. Benson wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Butler County Sheriff's Lt. Patrick Light said a rural Valley Center teenager lost control of their SUV Tuesday night, causing it to roll at least twice and before landing in a row of trees. The teen was flown to a Wichita hospital after being extracted from the wreckage by emergency responders. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

An 18-year-old driver was traveling westbound, making a right turn at SE 38th and 150th Avenue SE, just south of an I-90 interchange in Eastgate, when he struck and killed a 77-year-old woman who was crossing the street on foot. The woman was then struck by a second vehicle, a Ford pickup.

22-year-old Jesse Allen Heiser died when his speeding vehicle struck and utility pole around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Pine Grove Road in Union Township. After crashing into the pole, the vehicle hit a row of mailboxes, and then traveled an additional 400 feet before coming to a stop, just off the northbound lane of Pine Grove Road.

Officers were called to Littlewoods Mobile Villa in Petaluma with reports of a man intentionally hit by a car. The man was found lying in the road being aided by many bystanders. The driver who hit him was reportedly speeding when he hit the man, and then attempted to hit another who was able to get out of the way in time. The driver was seen fleeing the scene at high-speed and was later arrested at his home. He has been identified as 18-year-old Moses Hunt.

A Bedford County teenager, Jonah Kindya, 16, died in a train collision Sunday night.  His mother said he was driving for a friend’s house near his Hyndman home Sunday evening. A friend, Nic Smith, set up a fundraising account to help his family with funeral costs. Jonah was a junior at Hope for Hyndman Charter School in Bedford County. An administrator of Hope for Hyndman Charter School said grief counselors will be available for any students who need support in this time of tragedy. The circumstances of the collision have not been made known.
