An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after hitting another man with his car on purpose at a mobile home park in Petaluma early Sunday morning, a police sergeant said.

Moses Hunt, 18, of Petaluma is suspected of driving his car into a man who was trying to stop him from speeding around Little Woods Mobile Villa on Lakeville Highway.

Hunt nearly hit another pedestrian in the complex, and when the victim stood in the residential road and attempted to gesture at Hunt to stop his vehicle, the motorist continued driving and struck the man with his vehicle, police said.
Officers were called to Littlewoods Mobile Villa in Petaluma with reports of a man intentionally hit by a car. The man was found lying in the road being aided by many bystanders. The driver who hit him was reportedly speeding when he hit the man, and then attempted to hit another who was able to get out of the way in time. The driver was seen fleeing the scene at high-speed and was later arrested at his home. He has been identified as 18-year-old Moses Hunt.
