At around 12:20pm, the rear tire of an SUV with several passengers malfunctioned, which caused the driver to lose control, strike the center guardrail, and flip upside-down into the opposing lanes. Of the people in the SUV, three died from the crash, including 2 women and 1 man, and three were injured. The 35-year-old woman and 21-year-old man that were injured were hospitalized with potentially serious injuries, and the 2-year-old girl that was injured was hospitalized with less serious injuries. We will update this accident as more information is released.

The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a woman killed in the crash of a pickup truck on Saturday, November 16, on Interstate 70 near Cove Fort. UHP said Rita Miramontes, 51, of Phoenix, was eastbound on I-70 near mile post 201 when the right rear tire of her Ford F-150 went flat. The pickup went into a skid, left the roadway and rolled several times into the median about 2:40 p.m. on Sunday. The driver's three children were injured and taken for treatment at a regional hospital. Check back for more information on this crash as it becomes available.

Naveen's mother said that she pointed out a light indicating a tire pressure issue when they were renting the van from Star Limo, but a worker told them it wasn't an issue. A lawsuit against the company is being considered.

Though the children were taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital and are all expected to survive, the woman was flown to a hospital and sustained life-threatening injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.

The Utah Highway Patrol says a roll over crash happened on Interstate-15 near Parowan Friday afternoon. A southbound vehicle blew a rear tire and it rolled off the highway. The vehicle came to rest on it's side. The 36-year-old male driver was uninjured in the crash, but his wife was pinned in the Ford Expedition and she had to be freed by the fire department. The woman sustained some moderate injuries in the crash, according to a UHP press release. Three children were also in the car and they were treated and released from a local hospital in Cedar City.

A tire blowout is believed to have caused a rollover crash that seriously injured five members of a family, including three children, on Interstate 10 in Phoenix on Thursday morning. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the family's vehicle was going west when the blowout occurred, sending the vehicle through the median and into eastbound traffic. The crash happened near 31st Avenue about 9:30 a.m. Two adults were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries, Garcia said. The three children were taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
