Tucson, AZJust after 10 a.m., a DPS officer was traveling on Interstate 10 at West Tangerine Road when he was involved in a collision with a semi truck. The officer had to be extricated from his vehicle using the Jaws of Life tool. The driver of the truck, Thilankas Silva, 41, was not injured. The officer's service dog, who was in the vehicle at the time of the accident, was not hurt.

Phoenix, AZA car driver was killed Tuesday morning after failing to yield to a large gravel truck at Maricopa County Highway 85 and Jackrabbit Road south of Interstate 10 in Buckeye. The gravel truck turned on its side, and the driver, Ruben Perez, 52, was minorly injured. Only the drivers were involved. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
