DPS: Pickup truck hits semi hauling milk near Casa Grande, killing both drivers

Two people are dead after a collision involving a pickup truck a semitruck hauling milk on eastbound Interstate north of Casa Grande, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Trooper Tim Case said the pickup truck was headed westbound when for some unknown reason it crossed the median and struck the semitruck in the eastbound lanes at about 5 a.m. Case said traffic will be limited to one lane until about 10 a.m. Both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene. The collision is still under investigation.

State Trooper Tim Case says a westbound pickup crossed the median and struck an eastbound tractor-trailer rig Monday morning, killing both drivers. One eastbound lane remained closed several hours after the collision, causing a backup of eastbound traffic.
