A 22-year-old Maple Grove man died Saturday in a snowmobile crash in north-central Minnesota, authorities said. According to a statement from the Todd County Sheriff’s Office released Sunday: Authorities received a report of a missing man at 11:23 a.m. Saturday. Friends of Jared Wallenfelsz said they had last seen him driving a snowmobile away from his family’s cabin on Long Lake about 1:30 a.m. that morning.

Aided by a witness who followed a hit-and-run driver, police arrested a Youngstown woman on a variety of charges early Saturday stemming from an accident on the Robert Moses Parkway. According to reports, the suspect struck a car driven by a Youngstown man around 5:30 a.m., then drove away from the scene. A witness to the accident followed the fleeing driver, and sheriff’s deputies were able to stop her car on Blairville Road a short time later. Carole R. Rossi displayed signs of intoxication and was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.16, twice the legal limit, police said.

Tempe police have arrested a woman after she hit a pedestrian and caused a chain of car collisions in a Walmart parking lot. Authorities say the female pedestrian is recovering for serious, non-life-threatening injuries after she was hit by 31-year-old Christy Kupper's vehicle Friday. Police say Kupper collided with a vehicle in the intersection of Rural Road and Southern Avenue at about 6:20 p.m., causing that vehicle to hit another. They say Kupper then sped away from the scene and into the Walmart parking lot.

Police say a drunk driver crashed her Ford Explorer into a city owned building on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue early on Friday morning. Anne Star Blomley is the suspect in the case and was being booked at the police department this morning. Police say Blomley drove her Explorer right through the front door and wall of the city's small Cone Rec Center building at the intersection of MLK Avenue and Ryan Street just after 7:00 am, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.

An Avon Lake man has been charged with aggravated vehicular assault after he fled the scene of an accident and seriously injured a woman who was driving to work, police said. Alexander Potoczak, 22, was driving an Audi on Bradley Road in Westlake when he hit another car around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and fled the scene, police said. "He took off, struck another car and caused some serious injury to the other driver," said Capt. Guy Turner, public information officer for the Westlake police department.

Clarksville’s town judge was arrested in Louisville last week after allegedly crashing into two parked cars and admitting to authorities he’d drank “too many” beers at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville. Judge Mickey Weber, 32, of the 400 block of N. Taggart Ave., was charged with driving under the influence, criminal mischief and failing to show valid insurance, according to an arrest report. Louisville Metro Police responded to an injury accident about 12:45 a.m. January 16 at Lexington Road and Hamilton Avenue, several blocks from Headliners.

A Wellington woman has been arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Deputies say that just before 11 p.m. Thursday night they were called to Summit Blvd and Congress Ave about a possible DUI driver. Investigators say that they found Jennifer Sorgie sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven with the engine still on. Deputies say that her Dodge Durango had extensive front end damage and a blown out tire.

A Monroe man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after crashing his car in Green County, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Matthew Putz, 20, had to be exctricated after crashing on Highway 81 about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

A 21-year-old motorist who drove into a house in Alden early today had a blood-alcohol content that was more than three times the legal limit, Erie County sheriff’s deputies reported. Zachary E. Olejniczak of Alden was heading north on Two Rod Road, shortly before 12:30 a.m., when he failed to stop at the intersection of Westwood Road, deputies said. His car went across the road and crashed into a home at 11664 Westwood Road, causing significant damage to the foundation. The people who live there were home at the time but not injured, deputies said.

A Natick man who thought he was doing the right thing has found himself in trouble with the law. Police say 21-year-old William Allen Whitfield walked into the police station in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to report that he had crashed his car. When officers spoke to him they detected the smell of alcohol on his breath. Police say he failed field sobriety tests, including a breath test that showed he was above the legal limit to drive. Whitfield was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and driving to endanger.
