Two women were injured after being thrown from a snowmobile near Nunapitchuk, Alaska. They sustained non-life thratening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Authorities responded to a 911 call of a crash on the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers Corridor 52 trail near Fall Brook Road in Wheelock on Saturday. They found a man who had crashed into a metal cable hung between two trees in a driveway. Keith Whitney, 47, of East Haven, Connecticut, was taken to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation into this crash continues.

A morning snowmobile crash into a tree on Sunday took the lives of two Herman residents in Glenburn. the machine’s driver, Jason Teifert, 21, and his passenger, Aleasha Godin, 17, both of Hermon, died in the crash.  Neither was wearing a helmet, and speed did appear to be a factor in the cause of the crash. It was not known if alcohol was a factor; blood alcohol analysis will be done on the victims, and the snowmobile will be inspected to learn if there was a mechanical malfunction.

Dedominces was driving a snowmobile on Lake Pequaywan shortly after 9:30pm when he crashed into an island, ejecting both him and his passenger Wigstrom. Authorities have said the Dedominces was under the influence of alcohol and traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred, which left him in critical condition and Wigstrom in stable condition, though both are expected to survive.

Timothy J. Dodd was riding a 2009 Skidoo 600CC snowmobile near Little Otter Lake when he lost control of his sled while trying to negotiate a curve. He struck a tree head-on, and suffered a contrusion to his leg. He was taken to Lewis County General Hospital by Lewis County Search and Rescue Snowmobile. He has since been released from the hospital.

Devin Groleau and Gavin Ranlett were crossing Whitehall Road on snowmobiles when they were hit by a van. Due to the high snowbanks and the curve of the street, the snowmobilers didn't see the van, and the van didn't see them. They were wearing helmets which police say prevented them from being injured further.

A 31-year-old Flint man died in a snowmobile crash on Houghton Lake at around 11:15 p.m. Saturday Roscommon County's Denton Township. Charles Pardo died at the scene. His snowmobile was the only vehicle involved in the accident. Authorities say the snowmobile was about 600 feet from shore when it crashed. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Gary Contento, a man from Fairbanks, was seriously injured after he crashed his snowmobile near Nenana. He spent around 12 hours waiting for a rescue because of poor weather conditions in the area. An Alaska Air National Guard helicopter responded to the accident, picking him up around 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:05pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 and involved three teenage boys on two snowmobiles on the Penn Mountain Snowmobile Trail near the intersection of East Floyd Road and Camroden Road in Oneida County. Nicholas Martin of Floyd was operating a black 1997 Arctic Cat with passenger Austin Parker of Holland Patent when apparently the snowmobile veered off the north shoulder and struck a tree. Both Martin and Parker were ejected from the snowmobile.The second snowmobile, a gray 2007 Ski-Doo operated by13-year-old Caleb Martin, also of Floyd, was close behind. In
