Alcohol, Speed Factors in Snowmobile Crash

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Pequaywan Lake Fire Department, Pequaywan Lake First Responders, Gold Cross Ambulance and Life Link Air Ambulance responded to the incident.

Two Duluth men injured, one critically, in snowmobile crash

Dedominces suffered life-threatening head injuries and was listed in critical condition, the Sheriff's Office reported. Wigstrom also suffered head injures and was listed in stable condition. Both men are expected to survive their injuries, the Sheriff's Office reported Saturday morning.
Dedominces was driving a snowmobile on Lake Pequaywan shortly after 9:30pm when he crashed into an island, ejecting both him and his passenger Wigstrom. Authorities have said the Dedominces was under the influence of alcohol and traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred, which left him in critical condition and Wigstrom in stable condition, though both are expected to survive.
