According to Portland police, a driver intentionally hit a bicyclist near Portland State University Thursday.

Brian Groce, 47, was riding his bike on Southwest Jackson Street around noon when he said a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta cut him off in traffic.

When Groce stopped at the corner of Jackson Street and Southwest Broadway, he told the driver of the Jetta, 29-year-old Celine Geday, that she’d almost hit him, according to Portland police.

Crews are responding to the scene of a SEPTA bus accident that resulted in several injuries in Center City Friday evening.

The accident occurred at 11th and Vine Streets.

According to SEPTA, the bus was traveling northbound on 11th street and was involved in an accident with another vehicle at the intersection. The opposing vehicle traveling westbound on Vine Street struck the side of the bus. The bus then made contact with three parked cars.

There were 20 people on board at the time of the accident.

A Kahului man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Kihei.

Maui police say at 1:56 a.m. Friday, Clifford Spencer, 63, was riding a black Harley Davidson motorcycle north-bound on Piilani Hwy. when he lost control and hit a guardrail near Kaiwahine St.

Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

It is not known if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. An investigation is pending.

A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle in San Francisco on Friday morning near the Stockton Tunnel, police said.

Police stated the collision happened just after 6 a.m. at Stockton and California Streets.

Witness reports indicate the driver failed to stop at the red light.

The driver stopped and remained at the scene.

The victim suffered upper body injuries and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

Three passengers involved in a high-speed collision Thursday evening were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, the driver of a Ford was driving west on E. Green Drive at a high rate of speed when it collided with an SUV at the intersection of Main Street.

Upon impact, the Ford rotated counter clockwise and slammed backwards into a metal street light pole. Police estimate the car was going between 50 and 60 mph when it struck the SUV.

A motorist was hospitalized after his car collided with a DART bus in Wilmington and overturned.

It happened in the 1900 block of Market Street after 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Police say a Toyota Corolla was struck by a DART bus and overturned onto a sidewalk.

The 54-year-old driver was taken to Christiana Hospital.

There was no immediate word on the extent of his injuries.

Police said no one on the bus was injured.

Market Street was closed between 18th Street and Concord Avenue for about an hour after the crash.

Four people were hurt in a crash on the Westside on Friday morning, according to Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.

Two SUVs were involved in the crash at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Ramona Boulevard about 11:30 a.m.

Officers said a silver Isuzu was heading west on Ramona and a green Ford was heading east. They said the Isuzu made a left turn without a signal and crashed into the Ford.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to get a trapped victim out of the silver SUV.

Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning two-car crash that sent nine to area hospitals.

According to police, 63-year-old Mary A. Ruark of Milton was operating her 2008 Ford Escape south on Round Pole Bridge Road approaching the intersection with Cave Neck Road at about 6:41 a.m., while 28-year-old Angel L. Jimenez of Milton was operating a 15-passenger Sposato Landscaping Company van with 10 passengers east on Cave Neck Road.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a one-vehicle crash at approximately 5:09 p.m. that occurred in the 16600 block of Church Road, in unincorporated Coral Township in north suburban Huntley, a news release said.

Police say a 2006 Chrysler 300 was traveling westbound on Church Road and for unknown reasons, left the roadway to the south where it crossed a ditch and a driveway before striking two trees.

The driver of the Chrysler, Cynthia L. Pauza, 41, of Huntley, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release said.

A woman was killed when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree Thursday afternoon in southwest suburban Chicago Ridge.

Cindy Schultz was driving southbound on Ridgeland Avenue near the intersection of 106th Street in Chicago Ridge about 1:15 p.m. when she drove off the road and struck a tree on the west side of the street, according to a statement from Chicago Ridge police.

She was the only person in the vehicle, and no one else was hurt, police said.
