A 61-year-old Stuart woman was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach Saturday afternoon after the motorcycle on which she was riding was hit by a car, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office said. Daniel J. Casey, 66, of Jupiter was driving south on Seminole Pratt Whitney Road on his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle around 11 a.m. with Anatasia Faulkner riding on the back, according to a sheriff’s report. At the same time Cassidy Rae Campbell, 18, of Loxahatchee was driving west on Banyan Boulevard in her 2000 Pontiac sedan.

A West Mifflin man was one of two people killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday in Somerset County, the county coroner said.

Ryan Stallard, 25, died of injuries suffered in the crash, which occurred around 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Milford, according to the Somerset County coroner.

The driver of the second vehicle, Roger D. Hay, 61 of Somerset, also was killed.

Investigators believe carbon monoxide may have filled a stranded Jeep at Kaena Point Saturday afternoon, leaving the two people inside in critical condition. Honolulu police say several bystanders found the vehicle in about three feet of water with a 32-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman unconscious inside, possibly of carbon monoxide poisoning.

A man is behind bars for crushing an Memphis police officer between a car while allegedly driving drunk.

It all started Saturday night at Poplar Avenue and Willett Street during a routine traffic stop, but in the blink of an eye it changed several lives.

Blue police lights lit up Poplar and Willett Saturday evening; Julie Montgomery was inside her Midtown apartment when the crash happened.

Officer Katrina Cobb, who was making a traffic stop on Poplar when the driver of a black Jeep got out of the car to retrieve her purse from the trunk.

Police in Portland, Maine are investigating an accident that seriously injured a 74-year-old pedestrian, later identified as Elliot Burton

Authorities say the accident occurred at about 6:30 Saturday night on Forest Avenue.

A 26-year-old woman, later identified as Lindsay Lathrop, was driving a 2006 Toyota struck the man as he was crossing the street.

Police say the accident remains under investigation, but added that speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.

They did not release the identities of the driver or the injured man.

An Angola man was listed in stable condition in Erie County Medical Center Sunday after he was hurt in a one-car crash Saturday night in Chautauqua County.

George W. Murray, 44, of North Main Street, was flown to the Buffalo hospital by Mercy Flight after his eastbound auto ran off the right shoulder of routes 5 and 20 in Hanover about 10:40 p.m. Saturday, struck a snowbank and continued forward before shearing off a utility pole, breaking it in half.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies said they could not determine a reason for the crash.

Virginia State Police say an 18-year-old Virginia Beach woman was killed in a car crash on I-64 East Saturday night near Armistead Avenue in Hampton.

According to a spokeswoman for Virginia State Police, the six-vehicle crash took place around 11:48 p.m. The victim, Briana Luckenbill, of the 4000 block of Old Princess Road, was a front seat passenger in a vehicle involved.

State police are still investigating the crash and have sent out the agency's reconstruction team to assist the effort.

Anne Arundel County police said it appears excessive speed contributed to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV Saturday evening.

Police were called to Route 198 and Race Track Road in Laurel, Md., for reports of an accident. The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Investigators said two motorcycles were traveling west on Route 198 at a high rate of speed toward the entrance of the Laurel Race Track. As the motorcycles approached the intersection, an Isuzu Rodeo was making a left hand turn onto Race Track Road.

An 18-year-old Bradenton man died Saturday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Cortez Rd.

The incident occurred at 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of 106th St. Hugo Arellano was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Arellano was traveling east on his 2004 Suzuki motorcycle when he was hit by a 2012 Buick LaCrosse driven by 90-year-old William Mitchell of Bradenton. Investigators say Mitchell was traveling west on Cortez and was attempting to turn left onto 106th St. when he violated Arellano’s right of way.
