Police confirmed Thursday that 74-year-old Elliot Burton, who was hit by a car while crossing Forest Avenue near Pitt Street last Saturday, has died.

Authorities say the accident occurred at about 6:30 Saturday night on Forest Avenue.
A 26-year-old woman, later identified as Lindsay Lathrop, was driving a 2006 Toyota struck the man as he was crossing the street.
Police say the accident remains under investigation, but added that speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
They did not release the identities of the driver or the injured man.
