It was about 7:39am when a car driven by Rohde drifted into the oncoming lane of US 22 NW and collided with a dump truck driven by James M. Taylor, 31. Police believe that a combination of the below-freezing temperatures and blowing snow that were present at the time contributed to Rohde losing control. Taylor was uninjured in the crash, but Rohde was declared dead at the scene.

Speth was northbound on 3700 East on Thursday evening, when she did not properly stop or yield at the stop sign at the intersection with US 30, and struck an eastbound pickup. The collision brought both cars off of the road, and Speth's vehicle continued to strike a power pole which sent many powerlines falling down into the roadway. Speth and her passenger Chastain were not wearing seat belts, while Spencer and Gould, the driver and passenger of the eastbound pickup truck respectively, were wearing seat belts. At about 12:47pm, Metcalf lost control of his westbound pickup truck and veered over the median into the oncoming lanes, where it was hit by a semi-truck on the right side. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, and this caused Metcalf to be thrown from his pickup through the windshield, leaving him dead at the scene. The semi-truck came to rest on its side in a nearby field, and its driver, Michael Adam Babosh, 53, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A 2013 moped driven by Alicia Grace Gray, 62, and a 2008 four-door Lexus driven by a 61-year old Isle of Palms woman were both turning onto the connector from Rifle Range Road at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday when the moped swerved out of its lane and hit the driver's side door of the car. The moped driver died from her injuries. The Lexus driver was ruled not at fault.

At around 5:30pm, a car driven by Cook that Reed was riding in slowed at a stop sign on Highway 11, but still continued onto the railroad tracks despite an approaching train and was struck by it on the driver's side, killing both people in the car. The train engineer was not injured in the crash.

Coulbourn was driving a car on Bethlehem Road when she drifted over the center line and sideswiped an oncoming bus on the rear of its driver's side, which caused it to roll onto its side. Coulbourn was declared dead at the scene of the accident, while Brittingham, who was the bus driver, his assistant, and five passengers on the bus were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

At about 8:45am, a the driver of a Jaguar containing five people was traveling southbound on U.S. 31 when they lost control and veered across the median into the northbound lanes. They were then in the path of an oncoming semi-truck driven by William Stump, 41, who tried to avoid their vehicle by swerving to the right, but the front of the semi-truck still collided with driver's side of the Jaguar. The immense force of the collision left four of the five in the Jaguar dead at the scene, and the only survivor sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

The two-vehicle crash happened at 7:38 a.m. at the intersection of Mangum Road and U.S. Highway 550.  Rachel Boucher of Bloomfield was driving the car east on Mangum Road when she pulled pulled into the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 550 and was broadsided by a pick-up driven by Kelley Rielley of Bloomfield. Boucher's passenger, Sebastian Smith,of Bloomfield, was killed in the crash. Boucher was brought to San Juan Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Rielley suffered minor injuries.

Shortly before 10:00am, James pulled up to the stop sign at State Road 54 from Highland Loop Road, but did not properly yield to cross-traffic and drove into the way of a car driven by Abigail Bryant, 38. Bryant's car struck James' on the left side, causing it to turn and end up in the median, as well as causing the rear bumper to fly off which was then hit by a car driven by Carlos Torres Arroyo, 32. James and his passenger Crouch were both transported to the hospital, but James eventually died while Crouch received treatment for serious injuries.

At about 1:00pm, Cunningham was traveling westbound on I-90 when she attempted to change lanes, but then ended up striking another westbound car, driven by Scott Collins, 42, and both cars departed the road and came to rest in the median. Cunningham was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to a hospital in Seattle, but Collins was uninjured in the accident.
