Chicago, ILPolice say a woman was trying to commit suicide by intentionally crashing into two cars Tuesday with her baby strapped into a car seat in her SUV.
Elizabeth Kruger, 28, of Evergreen Park is charged with one count of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated battery, one count of aggravated fleeing and eluding, one count of leaving the Scene of a personal injury accident, one count of endangering the life of a child and several more traffic offenses.
Police say Kruger purposely crashed her BMW SUV into a car at 79th Street and New England in Burbank, and drove away.

Dallas-Ft. Worth, TXA Fort Worth Independent School District school bus was involved in a crash Monday morning.
According to MedStar Mobile Healthcare, which provides mobile ambulance service in Fort Worth and 14 other Tarrant County cities, the school bus and another vehicle, a black Nissan, collided at about 10:15 a.m., injuring seven people.
MedStar said three children, an adult from the bus and the adult driver of the second vehicle were all transported to area hospitals. One adult and another child were treated at the scene. The conditions of all of those involved were not released.

Birmingham, ALThe Etowah County Deputy Coroner said three people died as a result of a wreck on Alabama 77 in Attalla this morning.
The accident occurred in front of Wendy's near the Walmart Supercenter at 7:26 a.m. today.
Head said multiple witnesses saw a Toyota Camry traveling north on Alabama 77 veer into the southbound lane for reasons that are unclear. Traveling south was an 18-wheel truck carrying a mobile home. The car struck the underside of the mobile home, sheering the top of the car.

Friday, February 28, 2014Rescue crews responded to a four-vehicle crash at 56th and R streets Saturday morning.
Lincoln Police say it happened just before 10 a.m. They say a pickup truck driving west on R Street violated a traffic signal at the intersection and was hit by a southbound minivan. The collision pushed the pickup into two other vehicles stopped at the light.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue officials say all four people in the minivan, two adults and two children, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the pickup was cited on scene.

Thursday, February 27, 2014The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision that killed three people in Pontotoc County.
At 8:35 p.m. on Friday night, troopers were dispatched to the crash scene located on Highway 6, near Beulah Grove Road.
The preliminary investigation indicates Margel Swann, 51, of New Albany, was driving a 1995 Isuzu pick-up east bound in the west bound lanes of the highway when his vehicle collided head-on into a 2004 Honda Accord, driven by Connie Malone, 43, of Thaxton.

Hartford & New Haven, CTPolice have arrested a driver for a hit-and-run incident in Norwich Friday night.
Officers responded to 159 Norwich Ave where a 10-year-old child was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene just before 7:00 p.m.
According to police, the child suffered a leg injury and was taken to William W. Backus Hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening.
The driver, Theresa Morgan of Norwich, was arrested a short time later after the accident.
Morgan is charged with evading responsibility and released on a $2,500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on March 11th.

Wednesday, February 26, 2014A mother, later identified as Kerri Chavez, 32, and her two young children and a semi driver were injured Thursday in a crash at Northlake and Hall boulevards in The Acreage. The sheriff's office said a tractor-trailer was traveling west on Northlake Boulevard when a sport-utility vehicle, which was traveling north on Hall Boulevard, ran the stop sign at the intersection. Detroit, MIA man from Byron Center was killed in a three-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon on the east side of the state.
Dick Allen Versendaal, 76, was killed when his SUV hit a pickup truck around 3:30 p.m. on Van Dyke Avenue in Bruce Township, which is about 40 miles north of Detroit.
Witnesses said Versendaal was driving the wrong way on the street when hit the pickup head-on, according to Michigan State Police.

Wednesday, February 26, 2014A mother behind the wheel of a minivan that was driven with her three children into the surf off Daytona Beach, Fla., is undergoing a mental evaluation.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office also said Wednesday that the children were turned over to the care of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Bystanders and officers helped pull the woman, later identified as Ebony Wilkerson, and her children - ages 3, 9 and 10 - from their minivan after it became nearly submerged in the Atlantic surf Tuesday afternoon.
